    Does anyone know the chepest way to translate 8mm video to DV?

    P.S. I have an iMac if that helps.

    I'm told that (1)Sony makes a video to iMac convertor (2)it costs about $400 (3)there's a waiting list to get one and (4)you'd better get a book titled iMovie, the Missing Manual because the online tutorial for iMovie is crap.

    $400 eh? Sounds like it might be smarter to save my money and just buy a DV camera.

    Sony's trv 900 will transfrom any fooyage you put through its input slot into digital. If you know anyone who ownbs one ar casn rent one it really does a good job.
